ITS CIRNO DAY!!!!!!!!!! GUYS LOOK!! THE STRONGEST DAY EVER!!!

Cirno is a character from Touhou
Touhou a series of shoot and dodge game. They're like shooting games such as space invaders but the enemies are ALL GIRLS and their WONDERFUL-PATTERNED bullets cover 30%-60% of your screen(yes, you dodge them to survive). It is played from stage 1 to stage 6, with one or two extra stages(which makes them 7-8 stages in total) apart from the main storyline. At the end of each stage, you face a boss where hitting doesn't kill them but instead, it reduces their time in executing a spellcard. And the entire stuff(the art, the programming, the music, the story) was created by a one guy named ZUN.
There's also a fighting game spin-off in collaboration with Tasogare Frontier.
The game is MASSIVELY popular because of its ALL GIRL CAST, epic background music, well-made storyline which lead to tons of doujinshis, animated FLASH, and fan-made music remixes.
CIRNO IS A STAGE TWO BOSS FROM THE GAME "TOUHOU 6: EMBODIMENT OF SCARLET DEVIL" She's an ice fairy who claims herself TO BE THE STRONGEST when she's actually considered as one of the weakest characters of the entire series(but what she's saying is true, as she's the strongest fairy of her kind). She's also depicted as stupid(spelling of "I" as EYE, thinking that abacus is tasty, doesn't know what 1+1 is).
The (9) or CIRCLE NINE started because of the label found in the manual of "TOUHOU 9: PHANTASMAGORIA OF FLOWER VIEW", of which the game is explained as (1) - Player, (2) - Score, (3) Player's Life... *and so on* ... (9) STUPID[pointed at cirno]
And because of this, she became the 2nd JOKE character in Touhou and soon gain its mass popularity.
